Abstract: Following an introduction to the thin-shell spherical coal silo and the modular-type coal conveyance gantry, 2 technologies introduced from abroad, as well as the application and engineering practice of the 2 facilities at HLS Coal Preparation Plant, an analysis is made of the points calling for attention and the improvement measures that can be adopted during the design and construction processes. At the end of the paper, the author elaborates on his new thoughts on the application of these technologies and their developing trend.
