Abstract: The raw coal feed of Shazhangtu Coal Preparation plant contains a large proportion of coarse coal and dirt and is poor in washability. Following a general survey of the washing processes currently applied by existing plants in the same mining area, and their product positioning, an analysis is made of the advantages and disadvantages of the washing processes commonly used in domestic coking coal preparation plants. Based on the result of analysis, the washing processes are selected. The paper puts forward a new thought on process design for large-sized coking coal preparation plants.
