Abstract:
In order to tackle the problems of environmental pollution and geological hazards caused by dumping or piling-up of refuse from coal preparation plants, and in line with the objective production conditions of mines, a study is made on the technique for underground backfilling through grouting with refuse as grouts and the design of the related engineering schemes. Study result shows that backfilling of underground abandoned face workings and the special stowing roadway of the worked-out area after extraction of pillars through adjacent grouting with refuse as filling material can eliminate the out-dumping of refuse, making it possible for coal preparation plants to operate in a green manner according to specified environmental protection requirements. Moreover, the method is high in industrial operability. The study made in the paper can serve as a guidance for the design of surface grouting system for realizing comprehensive utilization of coal refuse.
