Abstract:
Coal will remain an irreplaceable primary energy source for a considerably long period of time in the future in China, and clean and efficient utilization of coal plays an important part in the drive of the country to achieve its strategic goal of realizing carbon peaking and carbon neutrality. Efficient removal of gangue from raw coal is one of the source technologies for realizing high-value utilization of coal. With the ongoing development of high-speed computation and deep learning technologies, intelligent separation of lump coal has become gradually one of the important processes in coal preparation plants. To address the issues of the existing hydraulically-driven moving sieve jig having a high failure rate during operation and a heavy labor intensity for workers, this process has been applied at Xieqiao Plant for removal of gangue from the 200~50 mm raw coal using two intelligent dry separators G207 and G208. Furthermore, the working conditions and separation effect of the separators are analyzed and evaluated. Results of test made with the two stand-alone separators show that losses of coal in gangue and gangue removal rates is both cases are 2.14% and 2.43% and 96.39% and 96.62%, respectively, which are all within the range of required indicators. The use of the separators has met with an ideal result, making it possible for the plant to realize ease of labor intensity, improvement of working environment, reduction of operating cost, increase of recovery of coal and significant improvement of both social and economic benefits. This has laid a solid technical foundation for the intelligent upgrading and transformation of coal preparation plant.
