Abstract: In order to solve the problem of coal accumulation at the bottom of belt conveyors, based on the research of the bottom coal cleaning device of belt conveyors in underground coal mines, the Huangling No.2 coal preparation plant developed a belt conveyor bottom coal cleaning device, mainly composed of a small cart, drive unit, control systerm and auxiliary components, for cleaning the coal accumulated at the bottom. Field applications demonstrate that after the device is put into use, for the coal accumulation at the bottom of belt conveyors with length of 30 meters and width of 1.90 meters, each operation only takes 5 minutes, and each cycle only takes 15 minutes. The device enables timely cleaning of coal accumulation at the bottom of belt conveyors, improving the efficiency, reducing labor intensity, enhancing operational safety, and eliminating factors disrupting normal operation.
