The method for the determination of the quantity of secondary slime generated in coal preparation plant

Generally,a relatively accurate quantity data of primary slime and secondary slime as their aggregate figure can readily be made known by reference to the plant’s monthly consolidated test report and the statistical data of quantities of products. However,quite a number of the plants in China has never conducted any monthly comprehensive test work. In order to determine the volume of secondary slimes generated in coal preparation plant in a rapid and accurate manner,test work is made on the feasibility to determine the volume of secondary slime through weighing raw coal,cleaned products and the products of desliming screen. A brief introduction is made in the paper to the testing items,calculation procedures and result obtained at Gengyang coal preparation plant which is cited by way of example.
