Abstract
For improving the performance of the vibrating spiral separator,a prototype of the separator is made in order to study the effect of the vibration exciting motor frequency and arrangement angle on performance of and velocity of motion of particles in the separator. Result of study shows that with the increase of vibration frequency,the efficiency of the spiral separator first increases and then decreases after reaching its optimum state while the motor arrangement angle exerts only a negligible effect on the separator performance yet a noticeable effect on motion velocity of particles,i. e. the larger the angle,the higher the particle motion velocity becomes.
