Assessment of the damage of the steel structure of a main coal washing workshop caused by fire hazard and the scheme for its repair

A detailed introduction is made in the paper of the work on assessment of the steel structure of a main coal washing shop after a fire hazard,the process of its repair,and the survey of the actual damage of the fire-hit shop. The scheme for its repair is finally worked out based on a judgment of the ambient temperature to which the structural elements were subjected,and the test report on the mechanical properties of the materials after the hazard. After completion of repair,the steel structure successfully passed technical inspection and acceptance and proves to be up to the required specifications in call aspects. The approaches adopted for repairing the fire-hit shop may serve as a valuable reference for other similar projects.
