    Optimization of the coal slurry water treatment system applied at Nantong area of Nantong Coal Washery

    • The trouble with the treatment of the coal slurry water in Nantong area of the washery is that the slurry is difficult to settle in thickener due to its high content of high-ash fine clay. Hence, a scheme for optimization of the coal slurry water treatment system is worked out based on an analysis of both current and specific operating conditions. The scheme involves increase of capacity of slurry water treatment system, optimum addition of flotation reagents and improvement of operating mode of filter press for treating flotation tailings. After adoption of the improvement measures, the coal slurry water treatment system becomes gradually stable in operation and a noticeable increase of recovery of coal slime can be expected. Furthermore, through effective management in recent years, a rather clear washwater can still be maintained even in case of deterioration of raw coal property.
