Technical transformation of the surface coal treatment system at Pingmei No.2 Mine

Pingmei No.2 Mine used to face a series of troubles in the operation of its original surface coal preparation system, such as low de-shaling efficiency and accuracy, high ash of raw coal after treatment, waste of energy for railway transport of coal refuse to coal preparation plants and the limited refuse disposal capacity due to use of narrow-guage refuse cars. To tackle these problems, a technical remoulding scheme is defined based on an analysis of the raw coal property. As evidenced by practice, the use of the technically upgraded system can lead to higher operation stability, reduced raw coal ash and labor intensity, and substantial save of transportation cost--an achievement which is not only in line with the current environmental protection policy calling for energy conservation, but also beneficial to the improvement of economic performance of the enterprise.
