Practice of technical transformation of coal silo for prevention of blockage at Tianhong Coal Preparation Plant

Following a description of several common silo blockage patterns,an analysis is made of the main factors leading to the block-up of silos. In the light of the specific operating conditions of the plant,the silo remoulding scheme and auxiliary blocking control measures are adopted based on the result of analysis of properties of raw coal from different sources and silo structure. Pratice shows that the remoulding measures adopted can basically tackle the silo blocking trouble and may serve as a useful reference for the similar design work in the future.
