Abstract
In order to make a thorough investigation of the properties of the flame retardant polyacrylate(PA),thermogravimetric experiments are made with the bituminous coal in Tangshan area as object of study under oxygen concentrations of 0%,8%,12% and 16%.Following that,an analysis is made of the effect of the retardant PA on characteristics of combustion of bituminous coal under varying oxygen concentrations based on TG and DTG data obtained through study.Result of study shows that: with the increase of oxygen concentration, the ignition temperature, burnout temperature and the temperature at which the highest mass loss rate happens all decrease; and the retardant PA can produce a certain fire-retardant effect but will not affect the subsequent burning of bituminous coal. The research-derived accomplishment is of guiding significance for further understanding of spontaneous combustion of coal and may serve as a theoretical guidance for fire control work in coal mines.
