Abstract
An analysis is made of the property of the low-rank coal with the low-rank coal of Hongqinghe Coal Mine,Inner Mongolia,as the object of study.The effect of flocculating and coagulating agents and their combined use on performance of flotation of low-rank fine coal is investigated through laboratoryscale float-and-sink analysis and flotation experiment,under the conditions that the same slurry sedimentation effect is obtained through the use of either of the agents.As evidenced by test result,the use of coagulant alone produces a significant effect on flotation performance and the recovery of combustible matters is seen to be reduced by 16.46% while the use of flocculant alone or a combination of coagulant and flocculant produces a relatively slight influence on flotation performance and the recovery of combustible matter is reduced by 3.19% and 2.08% in respective case.And it is found that the use of coagulant or flocculant alone or combined use of the 2 kinds of agents exerts only a minor influence on clean coal ash which is increased respectively by 0.85% and 0.98% while the use of flocculant has a noticeable bearing on clean coal ash which is seen to be increased by 5.49% in this instance.
