Study of rewashing of crushed middlings at Hecaogou Coal Preparation Plant

A serious problem facing the plant is the presence of a lot of intergrown coal in middlings. To address this issue, following an analysis of the washability of middlings and its rewashing process, as well as the economic benefit that can be gained, an optimum process as follows is proposed: rewashing of the middlings product of the heavy medium separation system by pressure-fed 3-product heavy medium cyclone after being crushed to 13 mm, and the coal slime is sent to the existing flotation circuit for recovery, for the optimization of product structure and improvement of economic performance.
