    Optimum design of the coal storage shed at Haojialiang Mine′s coal preparation plant

    • In view of the fact that the construction of a coal storage facility is subject to a number of mutually restrictive factors, such as engineering process requirements, fire-fighting demand, environmental protection requirement and structural layout, an optimum design of the plant′s coal stocking shed is made under the prerequisite of enabling it to meet the specifications as required. Through comparison of different construction schemes and structural layouts, it is found that the shed of a spherical structure is the most optimum one in design. Analysis of the stress state of the trussed frame of varying thickness indicates that the most economically justifiable thickness of the section of the truss is 2.5 m and in this case the load-bearing capacity of the truss can well meet the requirement. The result of the study made provides both theoretical basis and technical reference for the optimum design of coal storage facilities of coal preparation plants.
