    Design of the process for intensive treatment of tailings at Yangchang Mine Coal Preparation Plant

    • For addressing the problems relating to difficulty in sales of tailings, environmental pollution and increase of capital cost of drying process, a new approach for turning the tailings into a useful resource for utilization is proposed, that is, to make intensive separation of tailings to recover concentrated coal or middings, and increase tailings ash up to 70%~80%. The latter is either used as brick-making material or discarded after being blended with refuse. The application of the technology makes it possible to recover useful coal resources and reduce environmental pollution. Result of calculation shows that a noticeably favorable social and economic benefit can be gained.
