    Feasibility study on use of seamless-steel tube as the shell of the small-diameter guide pulley of belt conveyor

    • For saving the costs incurred in processing the shell of the small-diamete guide pulley of belt conveyor, a study is made on the use of seamless-steel tube as the pulley shell, and the shell's structural strength as well as its manufacturing process and cost are analyzed. Result of feasibility study shows that the structural strength of the pulley shell is well up to the requirement, and a considerable cost can be saved because of simplification of manufacturing process and less employment of manpower.
