Common faults of shallow-trough dense medium separator and remedial measures

Shallow-bath dense medium separator is one of the separators commonly used for treating coarse coal in coal preparation plants across China. For enhancing running smoothness of the separator, an analysis is made of the causes leading to occurrence of faults of the separator in operation, based on theoretical study, and from the perspective of the specific operating conditions on site. Following the analysis, the remedial measures are proposed.
