The causes of blocking of raw coal silo and the unplugging techniques applied

In order to tackle the problem regarding the binding and sticking up of coal onto silo wall, an artificial silo clearing and unclogging method, as well as the engineering schemes and precautionary measures are proposed based on the analysis of the factors causing the plugging of the silo's discharge outlet. Practical use of the techniques makes it possible for the plant to eliminate silo plugging nuisance, make full use of the silos for coal storage and blending applications, ensure sustainable and stable operation of the plant, cut down operating costs and improve economic efficiency.
