    Design and experimental study of the jet-agitation combined fine coal flotation device

    • In view of the difficulties in separation of fine coal and the respective features of the mechanical agitation and jet flotation cells, the jet-agitation type flotation device that incorporates a multiple of the advantages of both versions is developed. Test result shows that: the clay minerals attached onto surface of coal particles can be effectively removed, providing, as a result, a favorable condition for coal surface modification; the machine is highly effective for separation of < 0.25 mm size coal; and the recovery of concentrate of each size fraction is as high 70%~80%. It well demonstrates that the use of the cell can lead to saving of energy, improvement of separation efficiency and upgrading of product.
