    Study and application of the innovative low-calorific value coal recovery process

    • In view of the high loss of coal in refuse and incapability of middlings product to meet the requirement of power plant in calorific value, an innovative process for the recovery of low-calorific value coal from refuse is proposed by the Coal Preparation Plant under Shandong Xinyang Energy Co. Ltd., based on analysis of refuse property and the fact that the fragmented refuse has a rather high calorific value. By applying this process, the < 6 mm sized refuse can be blended with middlings product in a rational proportion. Practice shows that the use of the process can guarantee that the middling product has the required calorific value and lead to increase of economic revenues, reduction of loss of coal in refuse and loss of resources.
