Approaches adopted for reduction of media consumption at Hecaogou No.2 Mine′s coal preparation plant

With an aim to enhancing the management capacity of the plant operating with mandate system and realizing fine management of coal cleaning operations, work is made on investigation and improvement of the approaches for media consumption, proceeding from the following aspects: reduction of amount of media brought away by products; reduction of operational accidents; maintaining stability of feed rate, adding retainers for sieve bend, stabilization of split flow, intensification of magnetic separation process and strengthening magnetite powder storekeeping management. Practice shows that through the improvement, the goal of cutting operating cost and improving efficiency has been achieved as evidenced as evidenced by the reduction of media consumption from 2.0 kg to 1.32 kg for per ton of coal treated.
