Development of China′s coal crushing equipment over the past 70 years and perspective

The paper looks back to the course of the development of the coal crushing equipment since the birth of the New China. As evidenced by analysis from the perspective of technical parameters, the coal sizing and crushing equipment used in the country can basically meet the requirements in field operation. However, when viewed from the points of fine workmanship, specialized application, as well as the design and manufacture of the key parts like reducers and bearings, there is still room for further improvement. In addition to calling for making up the deficiencies as mentioned above, it is stressed in the paper that: the development of intelligent, tailor-made and innovative coal crushing process and equipment is the principal developing trend and the direction in which the effort should be focused; and the depth of materials crushing-related research work so far made both in China and worldwide lags behind the development of crushing equipment. Therefore, more intensive work needs to be directed toward this respect.
