Study on upgrading and optimization of the coal cleaning system of the power coal plant in Ningdong Mining Area with the use of dry cleaning technology

The paper presents an analysis of the property of the raw coal produced in Ningdong Mining Area, the drawbacks of the wet cleaning method for treating such coal, the technical features of the dry method and its adaptability to the feed which is liable to undergo degradation in water. The feasibility of renovating and optimizing the existing cleaning system using dry method is explored through analog computation and pilot-scale test. A wet-dry integrated cleaning process is finally proposed, providing an approach for upgrading the process for treating the low-rank or degradation-prone coal produced in Ningdong and other areas.
