    Experiment and application of peristaltic pump for enhancing precision of automatic flotation agent dosing system

    • In view of the inaccuracy and instability of artificial agent dosing in flotation process, an automatic dosing system with peristaltic pump as actuating mechanism is developed, and its dosing accuracy is studied through test. Result of extensive tests shows that when standard calibration is made against 200 mL, the precision error of the system is less than 4% for dosing collector and smaller than 1% for dosing frother. As evidenced by test result, the peristaltic pump can successfully be used as the actuating mechanism of the automatic dosing system.
