Design of the long-distance large-capacity downward-haulage belt conveyor of Antaibao Opencast Coal Mine

In view of the complexity of the working conditions of the long-distance large-capacity downward-haulage belt conveyor, in making its design, the belt tension needs to be analyzed and considered in an all-round way according to the particularity of the conveyor′s operating and environmental conditions. The paper elaborates on the design of such a conveyor, which involves calculation of circular driving force and selection of the key components like take-up, brake, etc. The design work may serve as a reference and basis for selection of parts and component for similar conveyors.
