Optimization of the medium consumption management technique at Hucun Coal Preparation Plant

An analysis is made in the paper of the factors influencing the medium consumption in coal washing operations at Hucun Coal Preparation Plant. To tackle the equipment and process-related problems, a series of management measures are adopted, such as increase of medium draining area, remolding of chutes and use of optimized spraying system. The adoption of the management measures has led to drastic drop of medium consumption and brought about therefore a favorable economic result.
