    Exploratory and experimental study on upgrading of coal-series Kaolin through decarbonization using pneumatic separation method

    • Coal-series Kaolin is a kind of associated mineral of coal-series formation which is difficulty to be utilized for its high content of organic carbon, intergrown coal, sandstone and other impurities. Pneumatic dry separation method offers the derits of using no water and is simple in process flowsheet. Based on comparative study of several commonly used dry cleaning equipment and analysis of their respective advantages and disadvantages, experimental study on dry separation of coal-series Kaolin is made. Test result shows that compared with the FGX compound dry cleaning machine which has a smaller stroke, the use of the FX large-stroke version can yield a better Kaolin decarbonization and upgrading result.
