Application of the spiral chute gravity-separation process at Zhouyoufang iron ore Dressing Plant in Anhui Province

    • The iron ore produced by zhouyoufang Mine Anhui Province is dominately of magnetite and specularite with uneven embedded size. For better recovery of middlings, the spiral chute gravity separation process is introduced. Based on the result of comparison of the following 3 separation processes:low-intensity magnetic—gravity—high-intensity magnetic—reverse flotation process; gravity—low-intensity magnetic—high-intensity magnetic—gravity—reverse flotation process, as well as a comprehensive evaluation and comparison of the performance of the spiral chute separator, the low-intensity magnetic—high-intensity magnetic—gravity—reverse flotation process is finally selected. Application of this process has led to an increase of yield of concentrate of over 15% with its grade raised up to around 65%, effective recovery of middlings resource and drastic reduction of production costs, making it possible for the plant to operate by following the principle of reclaiming all mineral resources at an earliest time possible.
