A preliminary analysis of the medium draining operations at modular coal preparation plants

Heavy medium separation method is exclusively used in almost all modular-type coal preparation plants, with the methods using H. M. vessel and cyclone taking the lion's share. By taking the plants in Shuonan area where the above-mentioned methods are both used as an example, the paper highlights the various targeted measures adopted by these plants for reduction of medium consumption, and makes a preliminary analysis of the factors influencing the medium consumption in such plants.
