    Application of the novel high-efficiency gravity-fed 3-product heavy medium cyclone at Xinxing Coal Preparation Plant

    • An introduction is made to the structure, working principle and technical features of the novel 3-product H. M. cyclone. Application of the cyclone at Xinxing Coal Preparation Plant shows that the heavy medium separation system with the novel cyclone as the core equipment can reach an hourly capacity of 330 t with the Epm values of the first and second stages being 0.023 g/cm3 and 0.031 g/cm3 respectively; the power consumption is reduced to 0.785 kW·h per ton of coal treated; and when used for treating unslimed raw coal which contains a high proportion of fine coal, the medium consumption is less than 0.6 kg/t, creating a remarkably favorable economic result.
