    Exploration of the process for washing the long-flame coal produced in Turpan-Hami Area of Xingjiang Uygur Autonomous Region

    • The Xingjiang Uygur Autonomous Region abounds in coal resources and is also an extremely important follow up energy supply and strategic energy reserve region. The coal produced in the region is predominantly long-flame coal. In order to explore the process which is most amenable to the separation of long flame coal, a study is made with the long-flame coal produced in Turpan-Hami Area as the object. Based on result of analysis of the property of the coal, simulated computation is made of the effect that can be obtained in separation of the coal using respectively wet cleaning method (H. M. vessel) and dry cleaning method (compound dry cleaning machine). Test result shows that compared with wet method, the use of the dry method can achieve a remarkable long-flame coal separation and upgrading result, and the cleaned product is up to the standard in quality for use as fuel of power plants; the simulated result is in good agreement with the result obtained through pilot scale dry cleaning test; dry cleaning method proves to be noticeably effective for reduction of ash and upgrading of long-flame coal; and the dry cleaning method is applicable for treating the long-flame coal produced in Turpan-Hanmi area.
