Application of the coal slime drying system at Matou Coal Preparation Plant

With the environmental protection regulations becoming ever-increasingly stringent, it is still more difficult to handle and store the tailings product of filter press. Moreover, the tailings product can fined limited sales due to limited truck haulage volume and its inability to be shipped by road. To solve the problem, a novel steam-tube dryer using steam as heat source is applied. Practice shows it is an environmentally-friendly equipment. Its use can meet the conditions required for railway transportation and lead to reduced moisture and increased calorific value of dried slime, widened marketing channels of slime and favorable economic result, greatly helpful to the promotion of the state policy of changing transportation mode form road to railway whenever possible.
