    Practice of renovation of the coarse slime ash reduction and clean dewatering processes at Huangbaici Mine Coal Preparation Plant

    • The problem facing Huangbaici Plant is that the cleaned coarse slime product is high in ash and the clean coal product is high in moisture. To tackle this problem, a renovation scheme is worked out based on analysis of the performance of the equipment and the coal cleaning processes applied. The renovation scheme covers three aspects: improvement of efficiencies of sizing and desliming processes, optimization of clean coal dewatering process and improvement of working conditions of pressure filter system. Through the renovation work, there have been seen a noticeable improvement of efficiency of the sizing process and drastic drop of yield of coal slime, and the moisture of clean product is up to the requirement, making it possible to overcome the problem of producing high-ash coarse slime and high-moisture clean coal product, and achieve the goal of improving coal cleaning efficiency and upgrading of coal products.
