Experimental study on flotation of the fine coal predeslimed through grinding process

In order to overcome the difficulties in flotation of fine coal, the primary slime of Yicheng Coal Preparation Plant is taken as the sample to explore its property and flotability. Based on the analysis result, the feasibility of flotation of the coal after being deslimed through grinding process is investigated. Test result shows that at a grinding time of 90 s, the concentrate of such a process can see a rise of yield from 29.85% to 36.87% and a drop of its ash from 11.43% to 11.16%. The proposed flotation process may serve as a reference for the plant's subsequent flotation system upgrading work.
