Technical transformation of the flotation system at Guotun Coal Preparation Plant

For improving flotation efficiency and obtaining a higher yield of flotation concentrate, the serrated-disk turbine pulp preprocessor is used at Guotun Coal Preparation Plant for making forced pulp conditioning, and the flotation concentrate product is recovered with screen-bowl centrifuge and novel-type ultra-high pressure filter press combined process. After the technical renovation, the yield of concentrate is increased by 28.61 percentage points on average, the ash of tailings goes up by 25.58 percentage points, and the recovery of combustible matters soares from 41.72% to 79.98%. The renovation work makes it possible for the flotation system to maintain a reliable operation with its performance indices all up to the desired result, yielding therefore, a favorable economic and social result for the plant.
