A study of the scheme selected by Lutaishan Coal Mine for preremoval of waste from raw coal

High proportion of gangue in raw coal, low efficiency of heavy medium separation system and high operating costs are the problems facing the mine. For addressing these problems, following a comparative analysis of three waste preremoval schemes, the method using compound dry separator is finally selected. Practice shows that the use of the method can make it possible to remove over 80% of the gangue, effectively upgrade raw coal feed, alleviate wear of equipment, lower operating costs and improve economic performance of the mine.
