    Study on numerical simulation of the return-gas flue duct of carbonization furnace for optimization of flue design parameters

    • In order to improve the coal-based activated carbon activation process of the carbonization furnace, reduce energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions, work is made by Taixi Coal Preparation Plant on modeling of the flue duct with different structural parameters using software SolidWorks, and numerical simulation of the flow field using software CFD Fluent. As shown by study results, the size of the return-gas flue duct and the motor power of the axial-flow blower should preferably be DN300 mm and 1.5 kW respectively.
