    Study on optimal of inflatable membrane domed concrete coal storage silo

    • A inflatable membrane domed concrete coal silo cannot be made full use of if irrationally designed or used. Through case analysis of the silos of such a structure in current use, it is ascertained that when the silo is provided with funnel bins and coal feeders, a best coal stacking/reclaiming effect can be obtained. Through 3D model-based optimal design of a 60 000-ton-capacity inflatable membrane domed silo, the best silo design parameters, such as the silo's diameter and height, layout of silo's coal outlets and belt conveyors are derived. Moreover, optimum design is also made in fire control, ventilation, anti-clogging, spontaneous combustion prevention and explosion protection aspects. Optimization of the design of the silo can allow it to be used by making advantage of its large storage capacity and ensure its safety in operation.
