Selections of correct medium pump and its associated equipment for coal preparation plant

In order to verify the matching of the parameters of correct medium pump selected for use at a coal preparation with those of its associated equipment, theoretical calculations are made of the correct medium pumps and associated motors and frequency converters selected for use at 3 coal preparation plants, and the calculated results are then checked and corrected according to the data actually obtained in operation. Practice shows that in selection of the parameters of the pump and its associated equipment at some plants, relatively larger margins are allowed. For addressing this issue, the optimum approaches derived based on theoretical calculations and checking against actually obtained data are proposed for making appropriate selections in this respect, which may serve as a reference for other plants to make similar selections.
