Technological Innovation of the washing processes and equipment of the anthracite coal washery

The anthracite coal washery in Jincheng Mining Area is currently producing diverse products to cater to the needs of different users using comparatively complex washing processes. The paper presents an introduction to and a summary of the successful experiences gained by the Coal Processing & Utilization Branch(PCUB) since its reorganization in innovation of the aspects covering preremoval of gangue from lump coal, flexible fine coal removal process, improvement of heavy medium cyclone, fine coal flotation, realization of high-efficiency screening in limited space, and making fine size grading of coarse coal products, as well as the proactive driving role played by PCUB in improvement of washing efficiency and economic performance and adaptability to variation of market needs. The innovation work made may serve as a valuable reference for the construction and development of anthracite coal washery in the future.
