Application of the BIM technology in Jixi Luheng Coal Preparation Plant

In light of the current state in application of the building information modeling(BIM) technology, following an elaboration on the difference between the BIM technology and traditional two-dimensional graphic technology in coal preparation engineering design process, the author goes to showcase the series software based on Bently platform, and analyze the problems currently encountered and future outlook in application of the technology. Analysis result shows that compared with the traditional two-dimensional design method, the use of the BIM technology can execute three-dimensional collaborative design and rendering of various pipeline drawings for construction design of civil engineering, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing projects. The use of the BIM technology at Jixi Luheng plant may serve as a reference for design of similar projects with this technology in the future.
