    Intelligent upgrading of Longwanggou Coal Preparation Plant′s centralized control system and power supply and cut-off control system practice and analysis

    • With the ever-increasing rise of intelligent level of the coal mining operation, it is imperative to upgrade the intelligent level of coal preparation plants. In order to tackle the problems encountered in Longwanggou Plant′s centralized control system and power supply and cut-off management system, work is made on intelligent upgrading of the systems in line with the current state of the plant′s primary washing system and by taking the following measures: upgrading of both soft ware and hard ware of the centralized control system; adding a PLC-controlled substation in power distribution room and incorporating it into the centralized control system; adding a new automatic streamlined power supply and cut-off management system; and optimization of the intelligent equipment start/stop system. The upgrading work makes it possible for the centralized control system to carry out uninterrupted monitoring and control, and has led to reduced rate of hits of CPU by 30%; cut of software response time from 1 s to 0.7 s, shortening of fault response time to less than 5 s, notable enhancement of real-time data processing capacity and historical data archiving and maintenance speed; the possibility of making remote power supply and cut-off with both high and low-voltage power distribution cabinets under automatic and streamlined management. Moreover, the start/stop of equipment can now be made by pushing one button, and the start/stop control parameters can be determined in a flexible manner; and the equipment start/stop flowsheet can be selected simply through pushing one button to suit the different coal washing operations. The upgrading work has led to rise of intelligent level of the coal preparation plant, perfection of the basic functions of the plant′s centralized control system, improved management efficiency, and reduced power consumption. The upgrading work made at Longwanggou Plant provides a valuable reference for other plants to make similar upgrading work.
