Abstract
Flotation is the most effective method for separating fine coal slime, and the performance of flotation agents directly affects the efficiency. In order to use flotation agents reasonably and better meet production requirements, the article outlines the basic requirements for agents in coal slime flotation, points out problems existing in the current usage process, summarizes technical specifications from established group and industry standards for coal flotation agents, and provides an analytical discussion. The analysis concludes that formulating flotation agent standards should prioritize safety, environmental protection, and occupational health. Technical specifications related to economic factors such as cost-effectiveness are unsuitable as standardized criteria for flotation agents, due to variables such as coal quality, types of flotation equipment, variety and price of raw materials for agents. The study also provides advice on the adjustment of technical specifications of the existing flotation agent standards and optimization of relevant testing methods, which can provide useful references for the formulation and revision of coal slime flotation agent standards.
